Karate Class
This is a local kids karate class taught in Eastern North Carolina by 4th degree black-belt, Yadi Unrein.
This class is held on private location, through invitation only.
This is a small, focused class. There is a limited class size so the students get focused attention and help.
The students learn traditional Okinawan karate from an instructor, who started her training and recieved her black belt in Okinawa. The style practiced here is Seidokan karate.
Our dojo focus is on building discipline, focus, patience, respect, confidence, and peace, along with the ability to protect one's self either civily or combatitively if needed.
We strive to preserve and share the katas and traditions as true as possible to the original in order to pass them on as good as we recieved them. We also work to practice the original Tode (pre-karate Okinawan martial arts) roots and applications of our traditions.
Sensei Yadi has had the great honor to study under and with a number of great Seidokan practitioners, including:
- Sensei Toma, Originator and Grandmaster (even if just for a little bit
- Senseis Glenn and Lee Capistrant
- Sensei Dave Bardi
- Sensei Keith James
- Sensei Donnie Hayhurst
- Sensei Ron Nix
- Sensei Tamae
- Sensei Reggie Washington
- and many others in classes and seminars
Sensei Yadi has also studied Tae Kwan Do, and several other Okinawan styles, and a bit of Kung Fu while in Korea.
Class times are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm to 5pm.
