Who I Am:

Hello, I'm Yadi Unrein.

I've struggled with back pain and immobility for a number of years, thanks to old sports injuries and many years as a waitress. This is something that might surprise many of my yoga and fitness students... and what what might surprise them even more is the level of pain I've had over relatively recent years: even to the degree of not being able to hold my own children for any length of time.

Thankfully over the years I've also been fascinated with and studied fitness and health. I started taking yoga classes over 15 years ago and found it helped. I didn't stop there, though, I also added Pilates classes, some Barre work, some neuro-muscular-stretch study, and gentle joint mobility classes. Over the years slowly adding tips and tools to my repertoire and finding what really works in helping me pick up my babies.

Through a series of fortunate events I also started teaching yoga classes, about 10 years ago; and like the saying goes: "If you want to learn something, teach it." I started teaching open community classes at a local health-focused Non-for-Profit. I had a variety of students attend with a wide range of physical abilities from folks who could barely bend their knees to long-time yoga instructors. I then went on to start teaching through the local gyms and then in-home with private clients and then with joint ventures with a local gym. I've worked on special programs with the local county with seniors and high-school football teams, and worked privately with teenagers to 70+ year-olds. Every one of those clients saw some improvement and some saw great improvement in their mobility, strength and pain reduction.

The privilege of working with all these wonderful people with such a variety of situations is they taught me (by allowing me to help them) what of all these things I've studied over the years really works. They've taught me what works for stiff and sore seniors, teenagers in pageants and fitness competitions, cancer patients, and athletes and not just me in my situation.

There have been a number family, friends, and others who have asked for my help with their situations even though they aren't close enough to attend my classes or do in-home private sessions. In order to answer their calls I jumped in and working with my husband Patrick produced this video to help them, and you.
